Need a New Phone

I need a new cell phone. Mine's starting to get on my nerves now. I've had it since December of my sophomore year, so it's been almost two and a half years. I'm pretty sure I've had it long enough so that I'm to the point where I could get some money off a new phone. At first, I didn't see the point to getting a new one. I'm happy with my Razr . Sometimes, getting a new phone doesn't seem worth it because you have to get used to it all over again. I was thinking maybe my battery has been dying a little more quickly lately; but it's probably my imagination. It still lasts all day. But in the last few weeks, the cover for the battery has been popping off randomly. Every time I even touch the phone, it falls apart. I can't answer a call without my phone ending up in pieces. Maybe I should just leave the battery cover off; but then it would look all ugly. Basically, my Razr has seen better days. It's time to move on. So, what s...

I can't focus

It's finals week. I'm sooooo anxious to be done. I can't seem to find any motivation to study. I want to finish strong, but I already turned my brain off for the year. I've had all day to study, but instead, what have I been doing? I played Sporcle . I played Solitaire for 2 hours. I found free online typing tests that tell you your wpm. I went on facebook for a while. I haven't even started studying for my exam tomorrow. The Tigers are on tonight, so I can distract myself that way. And now, here I am writing a content-less blog entry. Laura already laughed at me; she told me I have this list of things I do to distract myself. Next on my list is to go eat; I'll make it a long, slow meal, so that I won't have time to do any more studying before I have to go to work tonight. Good plan?

Free at Last!

I finally have my life back! Yesterday was Design Day, the most terrible day in an engineer's existence every semester! That means my senior design project was due yesterday! It's all over! No more Bluetooths ! No more bracelets! No more CAD models! No more group meetings! No more advisors ! No more Motorola! No more working on reports or presentations or posters! My last few days working with my group didn't go well, I don't think. I definitely was having a negative attitude problem. I thought the poster Dan had designed looked awful; but I didn't know how to make it any better. After all, I'm no graphic designer. So when I said stuff looked bad, I couldn't suggest any way to change it. I was proofreading our report making tiny changes like adding a comma or changing a semicolon to a colon. Everyone was giving me a hard time for my nit- pickyness . "You should have been an English major." No, I should be an engineer because I obvi...

Senior Sendoff

Last night was the senior sendoff at Intervarsity . Every year, on the last Thursday of the semester, we send off the seniors. All the seniors have someone else from Intervarsity speak about them. It's a way of celebrating who the person is and what they've brought to Intervarsity , praying for their future, and realizing how much you're going to miss them. Laura and I decided to send each other off. We weren't sure if it was legit to let another senior send you off, but we did it anyway. Neither of us has ever sent anyone off before, so we didn't really know what we were doing. I was really nervous. Basically, I had to give a mini speech about Laura; I wasn't really sure what I was supposed to accomplish in my speech. Laura and I tried brainstorming things to say about each other that most people in Intervarsity would understand. We have plenty of inside jokes, but I was having trouble coming up with anything to say that everyone would appreciate. In...
